Job summary

Holland & Sherry is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Specialist to join our team remotely in San Jose. This role offers autonomy, growth, and the chance to build a robust client book while representing luxury textiles and design lines.

You will travel within the territory, cultivate new and existing designer relationships, and drive sales through proactive outreach and product knowledge. The position rewards initiative with a competitive salary plus commission and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of sales experience.
• Self-directed, can-do attitude, and eagerness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, punctual nature.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Holland & Sherry’s CRM systems.
• Comfortable packing, carrying, and transporting samples frequently.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to pursue and manage outside sales independently.

Responsibilities

• Research and establish new client relationships while cultivating existing relationships within the design industry.
• Develop thorough industry and product knowledge.
• Drive sales by presenting Holland & Sherry and represented lines.
• Produce and regularly update target client lists, sales goals, and strategic outreach plans.
• Promptly follow up on all client inquiries.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Product Managers to ensure accurate communication and support.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to present products and meet with clients.
• Utilize entrepreneurial thinking to identify new business opportunities and take ownership of building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
