Infinx is hiring a remote Outpatient Surgery Coder to accurately abstract surgeries across multiple specialties using ICD-10 CM coding. You will follow coding guidelines to ensure high accuracy, provide feedback to clients, and stay current with billing rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• AHIMA or AAPC Certification (CPC/COC/CCS/CASCC) preferred.
• Experience with Epic and ICD-10 CM coding.
• 2+ years of outpatient surgery coding in multiple specialties.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Abstract outpatient surgeries from medical records with ICD-10 CM/ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Ensure 98% coding accuracy following Official Guidelines.
• Provide documentation feedback to clients or account managers.
• Maintain coding reference information and stay updated on guidelines.
• Communicate new billing/coding guidelines with providers.
• Resolve pre-AR edits and report repetitive documentation issues.
• Correct billing, add missing services, and adjust CPT/ICD codes.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and other teams for reimbursement support.
• Assist in obtaining documentation and provide code/modifier information.
• Meet productivity and quality standards per encounter type.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
