Job summary

Infinx is seeking a skilled Medical Coder to support the Coding department, performing professional fee coding, resolving edits and rejections, and ensuring pro-fee coding compliance to optimize revenue cycle operations. This remote contract role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory awareness, and collaboration with healthcare clients to maximize reimbursements.

This 90-day remote contract requires CPT/ICD-10-CM coding, orthopedic experience, and EMR proficiency (ECW).

Qualifications

• Active credentials CPC/CCS-P/CIC/COC/CRC aligned to role.
• 3+ years of professional and facility medical coding experience.
• Experience with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Experience in orthopedic coding and workers' compensation.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR, preferably ECW.
• Ability to review denials and resolve submission errors.
• Strong knowledge of documentation and coding compliance.
• Experience in high-volume physician practices.
• Multi-specialty coding experience preferred.
• Denial analysis and coding correction workflows familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT codes and modifiers.
• Contact clients when documentation is inadequate for coding.
• Monitor regulatory and payer changes for coding.
• Research and resolve coding-related system edits and denials.
• Identify trends for policy and procedure improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding changes through education.
• Other duties as assigned.
