Infinx is seeking an Outpatient Surgery Coder to accurately abstract outpatient surgeries across specialties from medical records using ICD-10-CM/ICD-10 coding guidelines. This remote role emphasizes timely, high-quality coding within a supportive, high-trust environment.

Requirements include AHIMA or AAPC certification, 2+ years outpatient surgery coding experience, and proficiency with Epic. You will collaborate with teams to ensure accurate reimbursements and coding quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification is required.
• 2+ years of outpatient surgery coding experience in multiple specialties.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/ICD-10 and coding guidelines.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Abstract physicians' professional services and diagnoses from medical records.
• Assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10 codes and modifiers with high accuracy.
• Provide documentation feedback to clients or account managers.
• Maintain up-to-date coding reference information.
• Communicate new coding guidelines to providers.
• Meet minimum coding productivity and quality standards.
