Job summary

Ovation Healthcare is seeking an Outpatient Coder to code and abstract diagnoses from medical records for reimbursement and quality reporting. This 100% remote position requires strong ICD-10-CM and CPT coding knowledge.

You will interact with providers for documentation clarification, review claims for compliance, and support AR teams. RHIT/RHIA or CPC/CCS credentials and at least three years of coding experience are required.

Qualifications

• RHIT, RHIA, CEDC, COC, CPC, CCS-P or CCS credentials required.
• Minimum three years of outpatient coding experience.
• Ability to pass coding assessment.
• Remote work experience required.
• Maintain 95% quality accuracy and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM codes for diagnoses in medical records.
• Abstract data elements for billing and reporting.
• Clarify documentation with providers for accurate E/M levels.
• Review claim edits to ensure compliant billing.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.
• Collaborate with AR teams to resolve issues.
• Apply CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM guidelines.
• Utilize MS Office tools as part of daily workflow.
