Job summary

Humana is seeking an experienced medical coding auditor to manage outpatient Behavioral Health disputes within the Disputes Team. You will review CPT/HCPCS coding, ensure accuracy and compliance, and communicate outcomes to providers in a clear, professional manner.

Work from home is supported for this remote role, with travel to Humana offices occasionally. 3+ years in Behavioral Health coding audits and strong Microsoft Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS Certification required.
• CPT/HCPCS auditing experience.
• 1+ years reading Behavioral Health claims.
• 3+ years performing Behavioral Health coding audits and disputes.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and decide course of action.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and decide on outpatient Behavioral Health coding disputes using CPT/HCPCS guidelines.
• Communicate dispute outcomes to providers in a professional manner.
• Collaborate with coding professionals across departments to ensure quality outcomes.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness in disputes and trend reporting.
