Job summary

Humana is seeking an experienced Outpatient Behavioral Health Coding Auditor to manage disputes within a metrics-driven framework. This remote role emphasizes CPT/HCPCS coding accuracy and timely dispute outcomes for providers, reporting to the PPI Coding Disputes Team Manager.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS Certification.
• CPT/HCPCS auditing experience.
• 1+ years' work experience reading and interpreting Behavioral Health claims.
• 3+ years' experience performing Behavioral Health coding audits in health insurance and/or hospital settings and working coding-related disputes and trending results.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to work independently and determine appropriate course of action.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit outpatient Behavioral Health coding disputes for accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate disputes outcomes to providers in a professional and concise manner.
• Collaborate with coding professionals across departments to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Manage multiple priorities to ensure timely completion of outpatient coding disputes.

Education

Associate's Degree or higher in Health Information Management (HIM)
