Humana is seeking an experienced Outpatient Behavioral Health Coding Auditor to handle provider disputes in a metrics-driven environment. This remote role supports the Disputes Team in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality of coding dispute outcomes for behavioral health claims.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of BH coding audits, CPT/HCPCS expertise, and strong communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office. Travel to Humana offices may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS certification is required.
• Experience auditing CPT/HCPCS in Behavioral Health.
• 3+ years performing Behavioral Health coding audits in health insurance and/or hospital settings.
• 1+ years reading Behavioral Health claims.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Able to work independently with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with coding professionals to ensure timely, compliant dispute outcomes.
• Apply industry guidelines to coding disputes decisions.
• Manage multiple priorities and ensure timely completion of outpatient coding disputes.
• Communicate disputes outcomes to providers professionally.
