Job summary

INSPYR Solutions in Houston is seeking a Senior OT Data Specialist with strong Oil & Gas OT experience and hands-on AVEVA/OSIsoft PI Historian expertise. This role bridges OT and enterprise Data & AI teams to validate and leverage industrial data.

Ideal candidates understand PI tags, DCS/SCADA environments, and can troubleshoot data quality while supporting Aperio DataWise deployments. Remote CST hours apply.

Qualifications

• Oil & Gas OT experience
• Hands-on AVEVA/OSIsoft PI Historian experience
• Strong OT systems understanding
• Familiarity with DCS/SCADA systems
• Ability to query and investigate data
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject-matter expert for OT data, PI Historian, and industrial time-series data.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, OT, and Data & AI teams to identify, interpret, and validate operational data.
• Understand PI tags, instrumentation, asset relationships, and DCS/SCADA environments.
• Investigate data quality issues, missing data, abnormal readings, and historian-related problems.
• Support operational data analysis and troubleshooting using database queries and related tools.
• Learn and support the implementation of Aperio DataWise for monitoring and validating industrial data quality.
• Help ensure operational data is accurate and usable for analytics and AI initiatives.
