Job summary

Shift5 is seeking a Solution Engineer to bridge customers and our platform, delivering technical demonstrations, supporting evaluations, and guiding adoption of Shift5's cybersecurity and OT analytics.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to translate complex technology into business value, support proofs-of-concept, and contribute to the sales process. U.S. citizenship is required for federal contracts.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in a customer-facing technical role.
• Experience presenting software or technical solutions to customers.
• Strong communication and ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Working knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, OT, embedded systems, or enterprise software.
• Experience supporting customer demonstrations, PoCs, or technical evaluations.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills for cross-functional work.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Defense tech, cybersecurity, SaaS, aerospace, transportation, or government contracting experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical demonstrations tailored to customer missions and environments.
• Assist customers with technical evaluations, PoCs, workshops, and pilots.
• Develop understanding of Shift5 platform, cybersecurity capabilities, and OT analytics.
• Translate technical capabilities into clear business value for customers.
• Support the sales process with technical presentations and documentation.
• Capture customer feedback and communicate product enhancement opportunities.
