Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to lead On-Site Services inspection and repair scopes across North America, driving project planning, risk management and site execution for steam turbine, generator and gas turbine work.

The role requires coordinating mobilization, serving as primary OSS contact for customers and internal teams, and performing EHS/Quality audits. Travel up to 5% and Lean/process improvement experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree with 5 years field service/repair experience.
• Understanding mechanical engineering, machining, repairs, inspection and NDT for rotating equipment.
• Commitment to excellent EHS culture.
• LEAN or similar quality process experience.
• People and team leadership skills.
• Project management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to cope with multiple complex situations in parallel.
• Innovate, think creatively and move quickly.
• Willingness to travel approx. 5%.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, planning, execution and close out of OSS repairs projects.
• Coordinate technician and tooling mobilization/demobilization, documentation, logistics, and provide off-site technical assistance.
• Be primary OSS point of contact for customers, commercial teams, site leadership and One Field Services managers.
• Provide prompt OSS issue resolution, EHS and Quality stand-downs and escalation.
• Visit sites and perform EHS and Quality audits.
• Work with internal customers and teams on assigned projects.
• Support innovation and contribute to quality improvement, RCA and NCR resolution.
• Support sales and business development processes (events, cost estimates, customer meetings).
• Work according to LEAN principles.
