Job summary

Congruex is seeking a Project Estimator, OSP Engineering to drive pre-sales estimates and pricing for fiber and telecom projects. You will coordinate with customers, engineering teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver competitive proposals and support project execution.

The role emphasizes accurate forecasting, cost management, and engagement with internal project teams and utility clients. Remote work with travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in OSP engineering or telecom estimating.
• Experience with FTTH, middle mile, long-haul fiber projects.
• Familiarity with utility-funded programs (RUS/BEAD) is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and RFPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project estimates for OSP design, engineering, and utility coordination.
• Review RFPs, scopes, and design criteria to develop labor hours, material quantities, and pricing proposals.
• Coordinate with engineering, permitting, GIS, field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather data.
• Support proposal strategy by evaluating project risks, assumptions, and delivery methodologies.
• Conduct site visits, customer meetings, and pre-bid meetings as needed to support accurate estimating.
• Maintain company estimating tools, cost databases, production rates, and historical data.
