Job summary

Cable One is seeking an OSP Designer II to create broadband designs and support CAD/GIS workflows. You will collaborate with Technical Operations, Construction, and Engineering to maintain design standards and deliverables.

The role supports remote work options for qualified candidates nationwide. Ideal candidates have an Associate degree (or equivalent) with GIS and cable design experience, plus strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent, plus 5+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Outside plan design, construction, or GIS experience preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of GIS applications (ESRI, Schneider design software) following Cable One standards.

Responsibilities

• Design new and existing HFC plant extensions.
• Perform base drafting.
• Read walkout information accurately.
• Update as-builts as construction completes and releases area.
• Provide complete construction build packet with full design deliverables.
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology.
• Create complex fiber splicing matrices and Lightpath circuits.
• Ensure fiber availability and reinforcement requirements.
• Design major plant upgrades and redesigns.
• Prioritize multiple projects with accuracy.
• Contribute to company values and standards.
