Job summary

Medasource seeks a ProFee Coder specialized in Orthopedics for a remote, contract-to-hire role. You will apply E/M guidelines, handle orthopedic procedural coding, and maintain 95% accuracy while meeting production standards. Flexible 8am–5pm schedule, 3-month contract with hire possibility, start date 11/2/2026.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in orthopedic coding, AHIMA/AAPC credentials, and strong EHR/MS Office proficiency to collaborate with providers and team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of recent and relevant coding experience in orthopedics.
• Active AHIMA credential (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA) or AAPC credential (CPC, COC, CCS-P, or related specialty).
• Proficient in Evaluation & Management (E&M) coding.
• Strong knowledge of procedural coding, modifiers, and orthopedics bundling rules.

Responsibilities

• Apply E&M coding guidelines to orthopedic services.
• Utilize knowledge of orthopedic procedural coding, modifiers, and bundling rules.
• Interpret anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology for orthopedic coding.
• Maintain coding accuracy of at least 95% while meeting production and compliance standards.
• Use MS Office and EHR systems for coding and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with coding regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and team members to resolve discrepancies.
