Job summary

MedHQ - formerly Trajectory Revenue Cycle Services is looking for an Office-Based Orthopedic Coder to ensure accurate coding for orthopedic surgeries and services. This role demands a high level of detail and adherence to coding guidelines, along with collaboration with physicians and billing teams.

Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant coding experience and necessary certifications. This position offers full-time benefits and is remote. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of coding experience, preferably in orthopedics.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology (orthopedic focus preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review provider documentation for accuracy.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes.
• Verify coding accuracy to reduce claim denials.
• Educate providers on documentation improvement.
