Job summary

IKS Health is seeking an experienced medical coder to perform coding for inpatient, outpatient, and clinic visits using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 across multiple specialties. You will review records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure accurate billing with adherence to client guidelines.

Qualifications

• Coding credentials required including CPC/COC/CIC/CCA/CCS/CCS-P/RHIT or RHIA.
• 3+ years in orthopedic Profee and facility coding.
• Experience coding Clinic E&M, Diagnosis, and CPT codes.
• Profee and facility Neurology coding experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong medical terminology, anatomy, physiology knowledge.
• Deep knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstract information per client guidelines.
• Solicit clarification from physicians when documentation is ambiguous.
• Mentor and train new coders as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Coding Clinic and CPT Assistant.
• Communicate professionally and contribute to team image.
• Work remotely with flexible hours per client needs.
