Job summary

This role requires a CPC credential, 5+ years of pro-fee coding experience, Medicare knowledge, and the ability to work under deadlines from anywhere in the U.S. The hourly pay ranges from $20 to $36, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• CPC coder certification with AHIMA or AAPC and annual renewal is required.
• 5+ years professional coding in pro-fee orthopedic and podiatry services.
• Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and modifier usage.
• Experience with Epic and handling claim denials.
• Telecommuting policy compliance for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedure codes per documentation and guidelines.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Monitor work queues to ensure timely charging and coding.
• Generate coding queries for documentation clarification.
• Stay current with coding changes and updates.
• Manage workload effectively under deadlines with minimal supervision.
