Qualifications

• CPC credential with AHIMA or AAPC and ongoing maintenance.
• 5+ years pro-fee coding in Orthopedics and podiatry.
• Proficient with Medicare guidelines and modifiers.
• Experience with Epic and handling denials.

Responsibilities

• Assigns accurate diagnostic and procedure codes per documentation and guidelines.
• Assigns CPT and ICD-10 codes for outpatient accounts.
• Monitors work queues to ensure timely coding and charging.
• Generates coding queries for documentation clarification as needed.
• Keeps current with coding changes and updates.
• Manages workload efficiently under deadlines with minimal supervision.
