Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center, seeks a remote Coder I to accurately review medical records and assign ICD-10 and CPT codes in compliance with policies.

The role involves using PMS and hospital EMR systems, coordinating with physicians, and educating staff to ensure compliant, accurate billing. This is a full-time remote position Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Certification in medical coding is required; CCS-P or CPC preferred.
• Newly obtained coding certification with up to 3 years provider coding experience required.
• Orthopaedics, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Abstract data and assign ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedure codes per guidelines.
• Use PMS to track demographics and services for surgical cases.
• Coordinate with physicians to obtain documents and demographics for coding and billing.
• Educate clinical staff on documentation and coding standards to promote compliant billing.
