Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder is seeking a remote Coder II to join our team. The role involves reviewing medical records and assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes in compliance with policies, managing demographics and billing data, and supporting staff with coding standards to ensure accurate reimbursement.

This full-time remote position requires 3-5 years of medical coding experience, preferably in orthopedics or a multispecialty setting, and a CPC/CCS/COC

Qualifications

• . 3-5 years of professional medical coding experience, orthopedics or multispecialty preferred.
• . Ability to review operative reports and assign CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS with accuracy.
• . Knowledge of payer guidelines, audits, and coding edits; communicate coding concerns clearly.

Responsibilities

• Abstract data and assign ICD-10 and CPT codes from medical records.
• Use PMS and hospital systems to capture demographics and services coded.
• Coordinate with physicians to obtain documentation for coding and billing.
• Educate clinical staff on documentation and coding standards to promote accuracy.
