Job summary

University of Colorado Medicine (CU Medicine) seeks a Provider Education Specialist with Orthopedics & Surgical Specialties to develop and deliver coding and regulatory education for physicians, residents, and advanced practice providers, aligning with Federal and State requirements.

This role supports content development, updates, and training sessions, collaborating with Education Manager and providers, and it can be performed 100% remotely with consideration for out-of-state candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field
• Minimum 3+ years of education experience (provider/coder education preferred)
• CPC or CCS certification required
• CPMA certification a plus (must be obtained within 1 year)
• Strong presentation and communication skills are essential

Responsibilities

• Design, create, revise and update education materials using Articulate, Panopto, Word and PowerPoint.
• Develop content related to coding and documentation per federal/state/AMA requirements.
• Deliver educational sessions for physicians, residents and providers involved in professional services billing.
• Conduct follow-up reviews to assess training effectiveness and determine further education needs.
• Collaborate with Education Manager and providers to manage new provider orientation and schedules.
• Stay current with changes in healthcare industry trends and regulations.
