Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10-CM/PCS and HCPCS coding principles used for billing and documentation.
• Formal education required; certification credentials may be required.
• Experience with government payers, managed care, and private payers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit and analyze professional coding across service lines and identify inaccuracies.
• Educate practices/providers on coding accuracy and documentation improvements.
• Ensure documentation aligns with payer guidelines and CMS/AHCA rules.
• Maintain a high level of coding accuracy and provide management with performance data.
• Lead training initiatives for physicians, extenders, and coding staff.
