Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center, is seeking a remote Coder I to join our team. The role involves reviewing medical records and assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes to ensure accurate reimbursement, while supporting clinical staff and ensuring compliance across PMS and hospital records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.
• Newly obtained coding certification to three years experience in provider coding and medical terminology with extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC Coding required.

Responsibilities

• Abstracts data in compliance with policies to assign ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Uses PMS to account for demographics and services for cases per guidelines.
• Coordinates with hospital systems to obtain documents and demographics for coding and billing.
• Educates clinical staff on documentation and coding standards to promote compliant, accurate billing.
