Job summary

Atlas Tech is seeking a skilled Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to join our IT team and support the Direct Access infrastructure. You will design, implement, and optimize the PeopleSoft database to underpin our enterprise HR system. This is a fully remote position for U.S.

residents and may require travel up to 10%. Responsibilities include performance tuning, RMAN backups, security enforcement, and automation via Bash or Python.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Oracle DBA experience.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL proficiency.
• Experience with AWS RDS and CloudWatch.
• Security clearance (DoD Secret) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across AWS RDS environments.
• Perform proactive performance monitoring, SQL tuning, and resource optimization for PeopleSoft databases.
• Ensure database availability, integrity, and reliability with automated monitoring and health checks.
• Develop and implement robust backup strategies including RMAN and cross-region backups.
• Automate routine tasks using shell scripting, Python, and SQL automation.
