Job summary

Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking a Mid-Level Oracle Database Administrator to perform daily Oracle DBA tasks under guidance from the Senior DBA, including capacity planning, health monitoring, and RFC/ServiceNow ticket handling. This full-time role requires strong multi-platform experience and delivers a comprehensive benefits package.

The position supports Oracle backends across government systems, with remote work options and a standard 40-hour week (8 hours daily).

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise production environments.
Expertise across Oracle, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, and PL/SQL.
Familiarity with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MS Access in multi-platform environments.

Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day Oracle database administration, troubleshooting, and configuration.
Support capacity planning and system health monitoring for Oracle databases.
Manage RFCs and ServiceNow tickets in accordance with SLAs.
Assist internal users with building, configuring, and troubleshooting Oracle databases.
Troubleshoot database and application-level integrations tied to Oracle backends.
Produce weekly activity reports documenting work performed and outcomes.
Escalate complex issues to Senior DBA as needed.
Maintain documentation of system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
