Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, preferably in a surgical or operating room setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, ensuring optimal use of operating room time and resources.
• Create a welcoming, professional environment with physician staff and healthcare teams to verify schedules and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain accurate records of surgical schedules, patient information, and OR utilization.
• Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate emergencies, cancellations, and changes in patient status.
• Identify scheduling conflicts, communicate with relevant parties to resolve, and implement workflow improvements.
• Attend daily Look-Ahead meetings to address issues and prevent cancellations or delays.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements related to scheduling.
• Provide administrative support, including data entry, report generation, and record keeping.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
