HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an Operating Room Scheduling Coordinator Float to support surgical services from a home-based role for residents of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with responsibilities spanning OR scheduling, record-keeping, and cross-functional collaboration within the surgical team. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous healthcare scheduling experience preferred, ideally in a surgical/OR setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, optimizing OR time and resources.
• Greet and coordinate with physician offices, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing teams, and other staff to verify schedules and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain accurate records of surgical schedules, patient information, and OR utilization.
• Monitor and adjust schedules for emergencies, cancellations, and patient status changes.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and inefficiencies; communicate for timely resolutions; implement workflow improvements.
• Attend daily Look-Ahead meetings to address issues and prevent cancellations/delays.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements for scheduling.
• Provide administrative support to the surgical services department, including data entry and reporting.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
