Job summary

Team Rubicon is seeking a Manager, Operations (East Branch) to lead a team across the East Region and oversee day-to-day operational goals for the Programs x Domestic Operations – East Branch. This role requires strong incident command knowledge and experience in planning, mobilization, and demobilization of disaster response efforts, with responsibility for resources, personnel, and administration.

The position is remote within multiple states (IL, WI, MI, KY, IN, TN, OH) and reports to the

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in disaster response/emergency management or first responder fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration or related field preferred.
• Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers.
• Proficient with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of staff, Greyshirts (volunteers), and external stakeholders.
• Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage the assigned budget, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and financial goal achievement.
• Provide leadership and team management by supervising and developing staff, setting goals and expectations.
• Evaluate staff performance and drive productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee procurement, expenses, and adherence to Branch budget plans.
• Support recruitment, deployment, and well-being across the disaster cycle.
