Job summary

AC Disaster Consulting is seeking a Managing Consultant, Individual Assistance to lead and support operational response and recovery projects focused on human services, mass care, housing, and survivor recovery. This role may serve as SME, project manager, or team lead, directing on-site teams and advising clients on survivor-centered program design and implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management or related field.
• 7+ years in emergency management, disaster response or recovery.
• 3+ years leading projects, programs, workstreams, or teams.
• Experience coordinating with state/local/federal partners and other stakeholders.
• 3+ years developing operational plans, procedures, or client deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead response and recovery assignments involving Individual Assistance, mass care, housing, human services, and survivor support.
• Serve as SME, PM, program coordinator, task lead, or field operations lead.
• Translate priorities into work plans, staffing, schedules, deliverables, and performance measures.
• Mobilize and supervise field teams while monitoring operations, budgets, and quality.
