Job summary

Team Rubicon is seeking an Associate, Operations to join our Programs team. This role will collaborate across teams, manage competing priorities, and build relationships with disaster response partners in the Carolinas.

Based remotely in North Carolina or South Carolina (with preference in Raleigh, Charlotte, or Columbia). You will support the leadership lifecycle, recruitment, and onboarding while executing disaster response strategies with volunteers and Greyshirts.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of relevant professional experience in military, disaster response, emergency management or first responder fields.
• Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers.
• Proficient with technology tools and in remote working for coordinating with a large network of TR staff, Greyshirts and external stakeholders.
• Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Execute Team Rubicon’s strategy to enhance rapid and local disaster response.
• Develop and maintain relationships with disaster assistance organizations at state, county, and city levels.
• Support program delivery of the leadership lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, and development of Greyshirt volunteer leaders.
• Purchasing and expenses according to the Branch budget plan and approving events in the system.
• Serve as a key EOT member during disaster situations and participate in EOC activation/deactivation.
• Coordinate response activities with local, state, federal, and NGO partners.
