Team Rubicon is seeking a Manager, Operations (East Branch) to lead a dedicated team across the East Branch, coordinating volunteers and resources for disaster response.

Based remotely within IL/WI/MI/KY/IN/TN/OH, the role emphasizes budgeting, staffing, planning, and execution with incident command and cross-functional collaboration. Requires 5–7 years in military or emergency mgmt and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in military, disaster response, emergency management or first responder fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
• Proven personnel management experience recruiting, managing, training, and developing staff.
• Proficient with technology and remote coordination across a large network of TR staff, Greyshirts, and external stakeholders.
• Experience leading volunteers is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned budget and ensure resource allocation meets financial goals.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to staff; set goals and provide feedback.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, procurement, and distribution of supplies.
• Coordinate disaster response operations and volunteer deployments.
• Develop Greyshirt leadership and onboard volunteers.
