Job summary

Reserv is seeking an Operations Lead, Forecasting and Planning to own forecasting customer claim volume and headcount needs as the organization scales. You will build and steward the forecasting process, maintain the claims model, and partner across finance, operations, and account management to guide staffing decisions.

You will ensure inputs are auditable, surface insights, and drive leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in claims forecasting, capacity planning, analytics, finance, operations, and/or BI in insurance/claims.
• Advanced Excel proficiency with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data integrity checks.
• Ability to own and troubleshoot a complex forecasting model with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical skills with experience handling large and complex datasets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational and project management skills for deadlines and cross-functional coordination.
• Preferred experience using SQL to extract and analyze datasets.
• Preferred exposure to actuarial concepts in claims forecasting, loss trends, or insurance ops.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity planning and forecasting for programs to ensure adequate staffing.
• Build repeatable processes for forecasting and capacity planning.
• Maintain and evolve the headcount and volume model (Excel-based).
• Consolidate data from multiple sources and provide auditable inputs.
• Prepare forecast outputs and scenario analyses for staffing decisions.
• Identify and report discrepancies between projected and actual results with insights.
• Communicate results to senior leaders to guide staffing decisions.
• Partner with finance to align headcount with budgeting cycles.
• Collaborate with sales to align headcount with sales cycles.
• Troubleshoot spreadsheets and resolve formula issues quickly.
• Maintain documentation and training materials for forecasting.
• Train team members on model functionality and assumptions.
• Prepare and deploy model logic via AI and automation where possible.
