Job summary

The Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation is seeking an entrepreneurial Operations Director to shape operations, infrastructure and culture in its San Francisco Bay Area office. You will help build a lean, efficient foundation while planning for growth and ensuring compliant operations.

You will oversee budgeting, audits, HR, IT, and grants management support, partnering with external contractors and reporting to the Executive Director and Board.

Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit operations and governance.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, audits and regulatory filings.
• Grants management familiarity and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, annual financial audit, tax filings and records.
• Direct HR, IT and information systems in coordination with outside partners.
• Coordinate grants management systems and reporting to Board.
• Provide regular financial reporting to Executive Director and Board.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management

MBA or related graduate degree
