ICON Clinical Research is seeking a Director, Biotech Strategy Lead (Immunology/Vaccine/Ophthalmology/Government) to shape innovative clinical development strategies for biotechnology clients. The role combines strategic advisory, therapeutic specialization, and cross-functional collaboration to translate client objectives into differentiated solutions.

You will partner across BD, Operations, Medical, Finance, and senior leadership to drive proposals, engagements, and delivery while traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
• Approximately 9+ years of experience in pharma/biotech CRO or drug development environments.
• Demonstrated immunology/vaccine/ophthalmology/government therapeutic area expertise.
• Experience supporting business development activities, including proposal strategy and client engagements.
• Strong ability to translate scientific, clinical, operational, and commercial factors into strategic, feasible solutions.
• Proven cross-functional leadership and influence within a global, matrixed organization.
• Executive communications, negotiations, and stakeholder management with senior clients and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel ~25% and reside in the US.

Responsabilités

• Shape differentiated Immunology/ Vaccine/ Ophthalmology/ Government strategies for biotech opportunities.
• Serve as strategic advisor during client engagements, opportunity assessments, and bid defenses.
• Lead proposal development and responses to RFIs, budgets, and client requirements.
• Build deep client relationships, understanding pipelines and business objectives.
• Provide oversight of solution development from conception to execution, including KPIs and risks.
• Apply therapeutic-area expertise to inform development approaches and market dynamics.
• Collaborate across functions to strengthen ICON’s positioning and thought leadership.
