Job summary

Merck’s Oncology Sales team is seeking an energetic Oncology Sales Representative to cover the Lexington, Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky territory. You will educate key stakeholders about our oncology products, build relationships with hospital and clinic accounts, and drive territory performance through customer-focused solutions.

You must be willing to travel 10-15% overnight, engage with customers in person, and partner with cross-functional teams to support patient care while meeting sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience or a high school diploma with 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Healthcare/scientific field experience with oncology preferred, including pharma, biotech or medical devices.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive; willingness to travel 10–15% including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales goals for the geography.
• Develop business relationships with key stakeholders and understand practice structure and influencer networks.
• Communicate product rationale and messaging to oncologists, nurses, and healthcare teams.
• Analyze market trends, competition, and accounts to guide short- and long-term plans.
• Collaborate with Territory Leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
