Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to help grow our oncology portfolio across the Washington DC territory and adjacent areas. You will engage with healthcare professionals, present clinical data, and collaborate with the Oncology Customer Team Leader to meet regional sales goals.

The role requires strong field-based selling experience, willingness to travel 10–15% including overnights, and residence within reasonable distance to the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of sales experience or equivalent in healthcare/sales.
• Strong account management and interpersonal skills with customer focus.
• Experience in oncology sales or healthcare/biotech sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed assigned sales goals for the Washington, DC territory.
• Engage with key stakeholders to understand practice structures and needs.
• Communicate clinical data and value of oncology products to customers.
• Collaborate with Oncology Customer Team Leader and cross-functional partners.
• Analyze market trends and manage complex accounts and contracts.
• Travel to visit customers in person and attend national meetings.
