Qualifications

• CPC certification required within 6 months from date of hire.
• 2+ years of billing experience in a clinic or physician office setting.
• 1+ years of coding experience abstracting from clinical notes or dictations.
• Diversified understanding of CPT guidelines and Medicare rules and regulations.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit charges in inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure compliance and accurate charge capture prior to claim submission.
• Provide feedback to physicians and management regarding proper documentation, coding practices, and denial management.
• Stay updated on oncology coding standards and guidelines to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
