Job summary

AAPC is seeking a remote professional medical coder with at least 3 years of physician practice coding experience. The role focuses on accurate coding of E/M, ancillary and surgical services, across multiple specialties, with emphasis on privacy and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of coding experience for physician practices
• CPC or CCS-P certification required
• Sound knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Accurately code medical records for E/M services, ancillary services, surgical procedures, and diagnoses
• Stay updated with new coding rules as codes routinely change
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Prepare coding reports for customers and Coding Services Manager
• Meet production and quality standards
