Job summary

Adjuvant Behavior Health Inc. is seeking empathetic, experienced mental health professionals for a fully remote oncology behavioral health role.

The position offers a pay rate of $60-62/hr and requires a Masters degree, two years of counseling experience, and an active WV Licensed Professional Counselor license. Remote work enables serving cancer patients and families with flexible scheduling; a minimum of 18 hours per week is expected, with referrals and treatment planning conducted

Qualifications

• Masters degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of professional level experience in a counselor setting.
• Current and active Licensed Professional Counselor license in West Virginia is required.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients individually and/or within family sessions to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
• Make internal referrals to IOP if little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks of OP therapy.
• Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge, establishing SMART goals with the patient; plans developed 72 hours after intake and updated every 4 weeks.
• Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including diagnostic records and progress notes; progress notes developed 48 hours after every session.
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
• Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information.
• Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care.
• Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
• Learn about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or maintaining contact with social service agencies.
