Adjuvant Behavior Health Inc. is seeking empathetic mental health professionals to join its national oncology-focused behavioral health team.

This is a fully remote position offering pay of $66/hr as a 1099 contractor, with an option to move to a W2 role after 90 days if you average about 25 hours weekly. Qualifications

• Masters degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of professional level experience in a counselor setting.
• Active Licensed Professional Counselor license in Virginia is required.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients or patients individually and/or within family sessions to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
• Make internal referrals to IOP if little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks of OP therapy.
• Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge, establishing SMART goals with the patient.
• Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including client diagnostic records and progress notes.
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
• Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition, based on review of client information.
• Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care with the existing patient.
• Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
• Learn about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies.
