Job summary

OneOncology is seeking an experienced Medical Billing and Collections Specialist to manage monthly accounts receivable for oncology patients. You will follow up with payers, resolve claim issues, and ensure timely payments while supporting patients and physicians.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in medical collections, knowledge of HCPCS/ICD/CPT coding, and Medicare/Medicaid rules. This is a remote role within a collaborative Revenue Cycle Management team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical collections, preferably in oncology
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing and payer policies
• Strong understanding of insurance reimbursements and claim denials resolution
• Familiarity with HCPCS/ICD/CPT oncology coding

Responsibilities

• Review and manage AR in 45+ day categories and follow up on denials
• Document collection activity and status in tracking notes
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and payers to resolve balances
• Correct billing errors and re-file claims as needed
• Generate daily reports for supervisor review
• Assist with write-offs and write-off adjustment forms
• Ensure timely payment and accurate posting of payments
