Job summary

Women Helping Women in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking an After-Hours Hotline Advocate – On-Call. This remote role supports survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking across our service area, providing crisis intervention, safety planning, and resources.

The position requires 1 year field experience, strong communication, and computer literacy; shifts include overnight hours, with on-call Sunday 9:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Qualifications

  • 1 year field experience in SA, DV, crisis intervention with victims required.
  • 1–2 years’ experience delivering direct services in field required.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, databases, email) required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention and advocacy over the phone for survivors.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration across teams and partners.
  • Build rapport with hospital staff, law enforcement, prosecutors, and mental health providers.
  • Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, volunteers, donors, and board members.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities offered by the agency.
  • Train and supervise volunteers and interns; verify observation logs as needed.
  • Participate in agency meetings and functions.
