Voices Against Violence is seeking a part-time Advocate to respond to after-hour crisis calls. You will provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and shelter coordination for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, including emergencies and protection orders.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. High school diploma/GED is required; an associate’s degree in social work or related field is preferred.
This position is responsible for responding to after‑hour hotline calls providing crisis intervention, support, and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The Advocate will respond to requests for shelter, as well as any after‑hour shelter emergencies, law‑enforcement and hospital calls, and requests for protection orders. The Advocate will alternate weeks and be paid an hourly wage for any calls and call outs.
Part‑time
$22.00 – $24.25 per hour
