Job summary

Peraton seeks a highly experienced Okta IAM/Identity Integration Engineer to support the DoD ICAM platform, replacing DS Logon and enabling secure authentication for millions of service members and beneficiaries. The role focuses on designing, integrating, and sustaining identity services with the Okta Identity Engine (OIE) and Okta Embedded SDK, ensuring RMF, STIG, and NIST compliance.

Qualifications

Experience configuring and administering Okta Identity Engine (OIE).
Experience implementing Okta Embedded SDK and designing secure authentication flows.
Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, PKCE and related identity protocols.
Experience implementing phishing‑resistant authentication (FIDO2/WebAuthn).
Experience with adaptive/risk-based authentication policies.
Experience with identity federation and IdP integrations (OIDC, SAML 2.0).
Experience developing secure mobile authentication for native iOS/Android.
Experience with API security models using OAuth scopes/claims.

Responsibilities

Configure, administer, and optimize Okta Identity Engine to support DoD workflows.
Implement and support Okta Embedded SDK for partner applications.
Develop mobile identity integrations for iOS and Android platforms.
Design and maintain authentication standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, PKCE).
Implement phishing-resistant methods (FIDO2/WebAuthn) per DoD policy.
Design adaptive and risk-based authentication policies.
Integrate identity federation services (OIDC, SAML 2.0).
Manage token lifecycles (JWT, ID, Access, Refresh) across DoD ecosystems.
Build identity automation with Okta Workflows and low-code tooling.
Coordinate with DoD data sources and IAM services; support AoA analyses.
Troubleshoot federation and mobile SDK integration issues; work with CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure compliance with RMF, STIG, NIST and federal ICAM requirements.
