Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Identity Platform Integration Engineer to design, develop, and integrate secure identity APIs within the AMASS program for the DoD. The role emphasizes IAM/ICAM standards, secure API design, and enterprise integration in federal environments.

The engineer will implement OAuth 2.0/OIDC, PKCE, JWT-based token management, and integrate with Okta Identity Engine, API gateways, and microservices in cloud or hybrid setups. DoD RMF/STIG compliance and NIST guidelines apply.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), PKCE, and token management.
• Experience integrating with Okta Identity Engine (OIE) and enterprise IAM services.
• Experience with API gateways, microservices, and backend orchestration.
• Proficiency with JSON/XML and API contract development.
• Experience in CI/CD and secure DevSecOps environments.
• Hands-on testing with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs supporting identity workflows and partner authentication.
• Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, PKCE, and secure token management patterns.
• Build secure API authentication and authorization services using JWT and tokens.
• Integrate backend services with Okta Identity Engine and DoD IAM solutions.
• Develop backend services in Java, Spring Boot, .NET for mobile authentication support.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Perform unit, integration, and API testing with Postman/Swagger.
