Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking an Observation Medical Coder for a remote/nationwide role. You will review medical records to assign diagnoses and procedures, ensure proper coding, and support accurate reimbursement.

Requirements include at least 2 years of medical coding, professional fee coding, experience with EHR, and AHIMA or AAPC credentials (RHIT/RHIA/CCA/CCS/CCS-P/CPC). This role offers a remote work arrangement and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures from medical records.
• Review medical records to assign codes and determine DRG/APC/tier for reimbursement.
• Ensure correct code selection complying with official guidelines and regulations.
• Abstract data from records and correct errors to ensure data accuracy.
• Identify missing documentation and query clinicians to complete coding.
