Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Coding experience required.
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding.
• Experience with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures from medical documentation.
• Review discharge summaries, notes, radiology, labs to assign codes.
• Ensure code selection complies with guidelines and regulations.
• Determine DRG/APC or payment tier for accurate reimbursement.
• Abstract data from records and correct any data errors.
• Ensure all documentation supports coding; query when needed.
