Signature Performance is seeking an Observation Medical Coder for a remote nationwide role. The position emphasizes accurate E/M, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS coding from diverse medical records, with expectations of reviewing and assigning correct codes.

You will review documentation across records, adhere to coding guidelines, and ensure coding accuracy for appropriate DRG/APC/payments. The role requires 2+ years of coding experience and professional certification preparation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Medical Coding experience required.
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• AHIMA or AAPC certifications encouraged: RHIT/RHIA/CCA/CCS/CCS-P/CPC.

Responsibilities

• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures by reviewing medical records.
• Determine diagnoses and procedures to assign appropriate codes.
• Ensure correct code selection following guidelines and regulations.
• Review coding for accuracy prior to submission to billing.
• Abstract data from medical records into the system.
