Job summary

The Nurse Consultant I conducts licensure and certification surveys to determine compliance with State Licensure and Federal Certification regulations. This home-based role covers the Central/Eastern Region and requires travel throughout assigned counties, including overnight stays.

Review facility documentation and coordinate survey activities to ensure safe, lawful health care delivery. Must be a licensed RN in North Carolina with at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
One year of experience in the area of specialization.
KSAs/Management Preferences are not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct licensure and certification onsite surveys for acute care hospitals and other designated provider types.
Review facility documentation in office to determine compliance with licensure and federal regulations.
Inspect regulatory adherence in various facilities including hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers, and ambulatory surgery centers.
Evaluate providers and clinics using established compliance criteria.
Document survey findings and coordinate survey activities within the Central/Eastern Region.
