Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Safety Engineer 4 to support projects in the Aiken, SC office. The Engineer will provide technical support for DOE facilities and develop/maintain safety basis documents and TSRs, performing hazard analyses and assisting in safety analyses and DOE reviews.

The role requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOE site security badge; strong communication skills and experience with Safety Basis development are essential to ensure compliance and

Qualifications

• Hazard analyses of nuclear operations and safety basis development.
• Experience preparing documents for DSA/TSR updates and DOE submissions.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE badge and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety basis documents and procedures.
• Perform hazard analyses and recommend controls to mitigate hazards.
• Contribute to nuclear safety review sections and accident analyses.
• Prepare reports and correspondence for safety basis projects.
• Coordinate with customers and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
